PhD candidate, Su-Ann Tan has had a long-standing relationship with The University of Queensland.

After completing a Bachelor of Communications (Honours) in 2007 majoring in Organisation Communication and Inter-cultural communication, Su-Ann worked as a Communications Officer at UQ International for three years.

In 2010, Su-Ann returned to her studies commencing a PhD with the School of Journalism and Communication. Su-Ann received a UQ Research Scholarship to conduct research on international student adjustment to Australian culture and society.

International students are a large part of UQ’s global community and this research could provide an insight into the significance of international student wellbeing.
